Evidently, President Obama has at least two more years to work with a Democratic Senate and Republican House of Representatives. Our elected officials have little time to act on major issues – specifically:
"Bush Tax Cuts" - extended for an additional two years by legislation passed in 2010, sunset at the end of 2012
"Automatic Sequestration" - failure of deficit reduction super committee to reach agreement in November 2011 automatically triggered $1.2 trillion in broad-based spending cuts over multiple years beginning in 2013
"Debt Ceiling" - the federal government is approaching its borrowing limit (currently set at approximately $16.4 trillion) sometime before the end of the year.
It is imperative for the United States of America to have leaders who work together for our future, our children, grandchildren, and our legacy on this Earth.
