LONGVIEW – Building permits in June 2013 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of 911,000, down 7.5 percent from the revised May rate but up 16.1 percent from June 2012. Housing starts in June 2013 were at a SAAR of 836,000, down 9.9 percent from the revised May estimate but up 10.4 percent from June 2012.
