Construction spending in February 2013 was $885.1 billion at a seasonally adjusted annual rate, up 1.2 percent from the revised January 2013 estimate and up 7.9 percent from February 2012.
Construction Spending is a monthly report released by the Economics & Statistics Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, from data gathered by the Census Bureau, of the dollar value of new construction activity. The report includes data on residential projects (such as homes and apartment buildings), non-residential projects (such as privately funded office buildings), and public projects (such as schools and highways funded by the local, state, or federal government).
